Nitrogen efficiency is about the type, placement, timing, and quantity. During tough years of drought, flood, and everything in between, biology can be the difference between getting top dollar and having nothing to sell.
Why are farmers turning to biologicals, especially BIOACTIVE LiquiLife™ for their wheat?
Reason #1 – Yield.
When the combine speaks, people listen.
Reason #2 – Increased fertilizer costs with decreased bioavailability.
Today’s growers face the “double whammy” of increased fertilizer costs and decreased mineral bioavailability from the soil and applied inputs – LiquiLife increases fertility efficiency.
“You can’t have bioavailability without biology.”
Reason #3 – Nutrient Density.
While it’s true that not every farmer today gets paid for nutrient density, this is important for those who do, or those growing food for their own herd.
Reason #4 – Plant Resiliency.
Broad-spectrum biologicals can be an essential tool to help crops withstand disease and pests.
Proof From the Field – Fall Planting to Spring Results
Biology at planting can be the difference to making it through winter.
In the Fall of 2023, an influential grower in Kansas decided to “experiment” when planting winter wheat. In some fields, he planted with synthetic N as usual, and in other areas, he planted with biology (BIOACTIVE LiquiLife+™) instead. The grower was impressed by the improved quality of the wheat starts when biology was used.

The middle area had (in the slice):
- 1 gallon LL+
- 2 gallons 7-21-3
- 4 oz Zinc
The other 2 samples came from areas of the field with no fertility at planting

We walked the fields in Kansas; these three photos help summarize the trip.
Wheat and corn; the visual difference in fields “with and without” applied treatments (LiquiLife+ and Boost) was evident.
We witnessed quality differences in the roots, height, color, health, and flag leaf due to LiquiLife+ & Boost.
The close-up depicts the difference made by a spring application of LiquiLife+ & Boost. This was not an isolated instance. When winter wheat came out of dormancy, the early application of LiquiLife+ helped prevent frost damage from spring nights of 2023.
