Purple Cow Organics is Deeply Rooted in Our Community
We understand that being good stewards of the land starts with being good stewards of our community.
We are dedicated to ensuring that our local communities are successful in their missions to build healthy soil practices.
We are deeply rooted in healthy soil and deeply rooted in our community.
Purple Cow Organics is proud to stand behind the following groups in the community.

Dane County Food Waste Program
Dane County and Purple Cow Organics are working together to reduce food waste! Dane County is managing collection and coordination for food waste from residents and businesses within Dane County. Purple Cow Organics will proudly compost collected materials.
Contact the Food Waste Program Coordinator, Delaney Gobster, for more information.

Madison Area Food Pantry Gardens (MAFPG)
Purple Cow Organics partners with Madison Area Food Pantry Gardens (MAFPG) to help them grow the healthiest food possible at Forward Gardens. We supply MAFPG with our organic, plant-based compost and BIOACTIVE LiquiLife+®, a broad-spectrum liquid biology to help rebuild their field’s healthy soil biology.
The Madison Area Food Pantry Gardens, Inc. is a 501(c) non-profit corporation established to provide fresh vegetables for use by area food pantries and meal programs. The work of planning, planting, harvesting, garden maintenance, and delivery of produce is primarily done by volunteers. Land used for garden sites is rented from or given for use by generous landowners.
Madison Area Food Pantry Garden volunteers also glean produce from various local growers who agree to donate their excess crops to area food pantries.

Cellanie Farms
Purple Cow Organics is proud to be working with Cellanie Farms to support their mission of bringing the community together around nature and the food we eat.
Cellanie Farms’ purpose is to reconnect people to their food and the land from which that food is grown. Cellanie’s organic, regenerative, mixed-production farm is a pocket of stillness in a suburban setting. They prioritize transparent relationships between producers and consumers through an accessible farming model that encourages interaction with nature’s beauty and bounty.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Dane County
Purple Cow Organics donates organic, plant-based compost and Raised Bed Mix to the Boys and Girls Clubs for their annual garden bed projects.

PBS Wisconsin
You may have seen Purple Cow Organics at the PBS Garden and Green Living Expo. We are good friends of PBS Wisconsin, donating to Expo raffles and to the annual auction.

Wisconsin Composting Council
Jerod Reuter of Purple Cow Organics is on the board of the Wisconsin Chapter of the US Composting Council. The Wisconsin Composting Council is dedicated to ensuring education and regulatory requirements surrounding the manufacturing of compost in the State of Wisconsin.
